Our team aren't just engineers; they're passionate problem-solvers who thrive on turning challenging ideas into reality using cutting-edge metal additive manufacturing.
Before Ian and I opened Additure’s doors in January 2022, the Kingsbury team had been selling and promoting 3D metal printing machines for some time; in fact, we started representing SLM Solutions and GEFERTEC in 2020.
There has always been significant interest from the market in seeing what 3D metal printing could bring to the table, but we do understand the cost associated with AM technologies.
Additure is our way of giving engineers and manufacturers access to industry-leading Metal AM technology on British soil without needing to invest in their own machines.

I’ve been making components since I was 16 using different technologies and it's still getting me out of bed in the morning.
AM is important to me, and this means I never get bored of it, or uninterested.
I recognise the privilege I have in pushing AM into new businesses and sectors, and it’s a responsibility I value and take seriously.

With a Mechanical Engineering design background in the Automotive and motorsport industry, I have been problem-solving in complex environments from the start.
I have vast experience as an additive service provider delivering complex thermal management and fluid flow solutions, and, more recently, I have worked at an LPBF machine OEM.
Joining Additure, I am excited to support clients in navigating the landscape of Additive Manufacturing and see it as another tool in the toolbox, simply determining manufacturing, quality, cost and certification requirements. I’m well placed to understand the technical and commercial needs of a business adopting additive manufacturing strategies and integrating technology into its business.

As a third-generation engineer coming from a long family line of engineers, I left school and commenced an apprenticeship in Manufacturing Engineering, leading to a position as a Power Units Development Engineer.
Subsequently, I established an Automation Equipment Design and Manufacturing company, which ran successfully for thirty-five years, building a UK and worldwide distribution network.
My extensive manufacturing experience covering multiple manufacturing processes is put to good use in manufacturing and development at Additure.

With a strong background in metal additive manufacturing (AM) and novel materials for Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) from the University of Liverpool, combined with a master’s in mechanical engineering, I am well-equipped to merge materials science with tailored engineering solutions.
I’m passionate about the potential of AM to revolutionise applications and find great satisfaction in bringing digital designs to life.
At Additure, I’m eager to contribute to advancing AM by producing more end-use parts and addressing complex materials challenges.
